Cycode, a young cybersecurity startup, is looking for a full-time Director of Marketing to join its talented Tel Aviv team and take ownership of its marketing strategy and operations.

Who we are: We’re an enterprise security startup pioneering the cybersecurity industry’s first-ever solution for source code control, detection, and response.

We officially emerged from stealth mid-2019 with backing from YL Ventures and leading cybersecurity executives and experts including Mike Fey (former president & COO of Symantec), Andy Grolnick (former president & CEO, LogRhythm) and Justin Somaini (CSO, Unity Technologies). We’ve been on a roll ever since and are ready to grow our team and reach new milestones!

About the Position:

This is an incredible opportunity to immerse yourself in the exciting world of cybersecurity and break new ground in source code security, the future of the industry. You’ll work alongside a dynamic team of experts on a passionate mission to make an impact as well as an incredible network of legendary cybersecurity luminaries and leaders.

As our Director of Marketing, you will take ownership of the planning and execution of Cycode’s marketing mission. The position will require your creativity, drive, and expertise to help design and operate a 360-degree marketing plan from A-Z.

The ideal candidate should possess a proven track record of building and leading high performing marketing projects and success working in a B2B startup environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute the strategy for our marketing activities across all domains, including positioning, messaging, branding, content generation, digital marketing, marketing automation, product marketing, sales enablement, analyst relations, and PR.

  • Build an effective, results-driven marketing plan, spearheading initiatives that are data-informed, insight-driven, and customer-focused.

  • Scope, execute and track campaigns to generate leads for sales, utilizing B2B tactics to build awareness and drive response.

  • Drive our go-to-market strategy and key messaging for Cycode’s uses cases based on relevant personas.

  • Identify and track competitors. Arm the team with competitive battle cards and talking points. Translate competitive news and updates into actionable information and collateral on an ongoing basis.

  • Generate strategic content (blog posts, talks at events and conferences, Webinars, whitepapers, contributing pieces, datasheets, demos, etc) to drive Cycode’s brand awareness and positioning.

Translate customer experiences and needs into stories for conferences and events, case studies, videos, testimonials, and more.

  • Identify key influencers in the analyst community and track their research on an ongoing basis. Clearly and effectively communicate Cycode’s positioning in relation to the space and the competition. Ensure Cycode’s coverage and placement in research notes, reports, and quadrants.

  • Craft and deliver compelling presentations for in-person events and webinars, represent Cycode at industry events and user groups

Requirements:

  • Proven marketing leadership (7+ years) across all domains of B2B cybersecurity marketing, with uniquely strong credentials in product marketing.

  • A consistent track record of driving successful new products from concept to delivery

  • Demonstrated success in owning and building a marketing strategy, plan, and annual budgets.

  • Must be able to work in teams as well as thrive independently

  • Excellent written communication with evidence of high-quality content (i.e. white papers, presentations, blog posts) and excellent verbal communication.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to credibly engage with technical and sales communities

  • Good understanding of the cybersecurity industry (advantage: familiarity with DevOps including its players, products, and trends)

  • Recent experience in a fast-growing start-up and a dynamic work environment

  • Highly organized, analytical and detail-oriented thinking skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or a Technical field is required, MBA preferred
